Lapland: The Husky Trail
Drive your very own team of Huskies 250km across the Arctic, up mountains, over the Ice Valley, through forests and over frozen lakes. Join this Arctic Challenge and spend six days sledding into the heart of Lapland on an experience you will never forget!
No previous dog sledding experience is necessary, as full training will be provided for you on how to steer and brake your sled before you take charge of your team. This is no ordinary charity challenge - you will be erecting your own tents, cooking for yourself on camping equipment, as well as helping to harness, feed and clean up after the Huskies! But it's not all work, work, work - watching the Aurora Borealis and sledding through dramatic landscapes should be reward for your efforts!
Over six days you'll sled (and push) up mountains and across wild landscapes, through forests and across lakes travelling from Tromso in Norway to your destination at the world famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi in Sweden.

Quick fact: The 'Aurora Borealis' is only visible in the North sky from the northern hemisphere, and often appears as a greenish glow (or sometimes a faint red). It most often occurs from September to October, and from March to April.
Useful local phrase: If you want to know the names of your Husky team try this phrase: 'Hva heter han?', meaning 'What is his name?'
