Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, this brand new half marathon event winds through the four Royal Parks of central London, and takes in some of the capital's most iconic landmarks. This whirlwind sight-seeing tour promises to be one of the most memorable events in the running calendar.

This fantastic course (rumoured to be earmarked for the 2012 Olympics) takes in world renowned landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, as well as running along the Thames and visiting St James's Park, Green Park and Kensington Gardens before finishing back in Hyde Park again.

Entries are limited for this new race, but you can either register for your own place on the Royal Parks Half Marathon website, or apply for one of the 25 guaranteed places which Barnardo's has secured.
